Many people have been asking what the special occasion is for me and my husband to head to Vegas this weekend. Let me explain. Shannon is a contractor and mainly does concrete work. Every year in Las Vegas there's a trade show (much like one you'd see at South Towne Expo Center) called "World of Concrete". We actually use the show as an excuse to get out of town together and Shannon enjoys seeing all that stuff at the show. So, since it is really close to our actual wedding anniversary, we will be celebrating AGAIN! The other funny thing is that every year we seem to get roped into a timeshare presentation. The only good thing about that is that they always put us up in a hotel or condo for the 3 nights that we are there! So, this year we are staying at the Marriott Grand Chateau (fancy huh?). I am excited about that part at least. The concrete show is not my favorite thing to do.....but I am a good wife and will put a smile on my face the WHOLE time! Another bonus or 2......our flight cost $39 each way per person and we rented a car for $9/day! WOW WOW WOW. I am quite the bargain shopper lately! SEE MELISSA? It can be done! Honest!
